1. Is well trained and prepared in all aspects of the trade - technical, business and social- needed to become a well-rounded professional.
2. Conducts all business and personal activities with honesty and integrity while maintaining high ethical standards of behavior
3. Meets all licensure and certification standards and completes continuing education requirements
4. Understands importance and value of good “behind the chair” practices, maintaining a professional and personable demeanor toward customers and fellow professionals while in the salon/place of business
5. Is prepared in all aspects of running his/her own business and related responsibilities 
6. Maintains a positive attitude by recognizing the importance of personal as well as professional growth and development
7. Is an ambassador for the profession and a role model for those who aspire to become part of the industry.
